Seven marathons in seven days for Scott

Our senior tax manager – Scott Lees is doing a Christmas Challenge

At a time when most of us will be relaxing into our comfy chairs and making the most of the festive break between Christmas and New Year, our Senior Tax Manager Scott is taking on a Chrismas Challenge. He will be getting up day after day, stepping out into the cold to complete 7 marathons in 7 days, in the hope of raising awareness and money for Motor Neurone Disease.

His planned 185 mile route starting on Boxing Day will take him through Ormskirk, Wigan, Bolton, Horwich, Adlington, Southport, Formby, St Helens, Liverpool and Croston.

Scott Lees says “Inspired by Sir Kevin Sinfield’s 7 marathons in 7 days and the story of Rob Burrow, I’ve decided to take on a challenge of my own…

The challenge will be to walk the distance of 7 marathons in 7 consecutive days between Sunday 26 December 2021 and Saturday 1 January 2022. I will be walking a total of 185 miles.

In doing so I hope to raise awareness and funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).”

NR Barton Partner, Paul Farrington says “We’re incredibly proud of his commitment to raise both awareness and money for this disease and we will be cheering him on throughout.”
