Kickstart your career with the NRB Academy - where learning meets real-world experience

Our Academy is designed to have a keen focus on supporting, coaching and developing our team of Apprentices at NRB.

What is the NRB Academy?

The NRB Academy is all about investing in your future. It is a well-designed levelling system, placing each of our apprentices at a level between 1 to 6. Each level has clear and well-defined targets so you can move through the levels, ultimately progressing through the business.

At NRB your pay is not just determined by exam success like most other firms, we value the individual and the skills they bring.

All our apprentices in the Academy are given work that has been carefully planned to coincide and support their studies. We also offer in house training sessions on various topics to help our students on areas they feel further support is needed.

Who is the NRB Academy for?

The NRB Academy is perfect for college leavers, graduates and other trainees that have already started their training. Whether you’re starting your first role or aiming to qualify as a Chartered Accountant, the Academy provides the support, training, and experience you need to succeed in a professional, friendly environment.

The NRB Pathway

Audit & Accounts Assistant

You will start to develop your critical thinking and take responsibility for your own actions. You will start to complete simple accounts whilst working independently and in a team.

Here you will complete AAT Level 3 and 4

Levels 1 & 2

Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior

You will continue to complete accounts whilst honing in on reasoned arguments. You will complete work in more complex areas and apply these to client interactions.

Start the ACA Qualification

Levels 3 & 4

Audit & Accounts Senior

You will start to gain an understanding of client needs in order to help them succeed. You will start to master more complex accounting issues and develop your coaching and leadership skills.

Continue with the ACA Qualification

Levels 5 & 6

Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager

Here you will graduate from the NRB Academy and be a fully qualified ACA Chartered Accountant as well as becoming a well rounded business advisor.
