Challenge Completed! Scott Lees Completes 7in7 Challenge For MNDA

NR Barton’s Senior Tax Manager completes his Christmas challenge of walking 7 marathons in 7 days over the Christmas break. Scott has been raising money for Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

Scott set out to raise £777 for MNDA, he did not imagine that he would be close to raising £10,000 for a great cause.

Paul Farrington, Partner at NR Barton says: “Walking over 185 miles in seven days is a great achievement. We’re all very proud of Scott who has raised a phenomenal amount of money for a great cause. No doubt trudging through Kirkby on a wet Wednesday over New Year would test anyone’s mental state, though I believe Ady’s bacon butties on his way through Standish were a big boost. He’s so close to raising £10k, which is an unbelievable amount, any donations would be very, very welcome. And of course a mention to Kevin Sinfield MBE and Rob Burrow who were the inspiration behind Scott’s efforts.”

Scott added: “I just want to thank all the support I was given over the course of the 2-3 week period. Donations started to come in as soon as I tweeted the challenge and then they began to pour in each day as I was walking.

The support I received on the walks also kept me going – it was incredible to have so many people join me each day, I seriously couldn’t of done it without them. To raise that amount of money is special and it was a massive team effort.”
